Mark Scarbrough:  Master Pieces: The Brilliant, Small Works Of Henry James

March 9 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)
Weekly on the same day until Thursday, April 27th, 2017

Mark Scarbrough is back with another of his engaging literary lecture series.

An ex-patriot, a gadabout, a raconteur, and mostly a master craftsman, Henry James did what few could: he changed the way writers work. He turned fiction inward, toward the marrow in the bone, to explore the ways people make sense of their lives in the most extraordinary circumstances. Read and explore his smaller gems in novellas that chronicle the Gilded Age, a mirror to ours.

Books will be available for sale in the library. Please inquire at the desk
