Cosponsored by the Friends of the Library
A fun and productive jumpstart for prose writers of all sorts. This generative workshop may be exactly what you’re looking for.
For two hours, you write from prompts, participate in a craft talk, and meet other writers looking for the same things. This workshop is intensive, designed to give you a number of story starts, some ideas for future pieces, and a new perspective on an aspect of the writing process. The approach is designed to create energy around your writing, enabling you to take your experience with the group and apply it to your own work.
Virginia Watkins, a writer and private writing consultant in the Berkshires, has offered both generative and critical workshops at Scoville Library and other locations. You can contact her through her website at www.writetogether413.com and follow her on Instagram @writetogether413.
