Join us and dynamic duo: Leslie Elias-Artistic Director and Daniel Saed, actor/ singer of Grumbling Gryphons Traveling Children’s Theater on a uniquely creative journey of fun and fantasy! Sing, dance, share in stories, poems, songs, puppets , masks, costumes and our never ending imaginations! Children and their families are all invited to participate in this fun- filled theatrical workshop!

Leslie Elias, artistic director of award-winning Grumbling Gryphons Traveling Children’s Theater, is a playwright, actress, storyteller, musician and theater director who has been teaching drama in schools, theaters and public venues for over four decades. She is a recent recipient of the 2023 CT Office of the Arts Artist Fellowship Award, as well as a winner of the 2018 CT Arts Hero Award. She was awarded the NWCT Arts Council 2018 Culture Max Award for Arts Educator. She runs an annual theater arts camp in Cornwall CT for many years and loves sharing her passion for theater with children and adults of all ages!
Actor, singer and voice artist has grown up with the performing arts and has worked as a teaching artist and actor with Grumbling Gryphons for many years, performing key roles in the company’s touring productions, including Trickster Coyote the Ghost Net: An Environmental Musical of The Sea and The Myth of Persephone. He was a featured performer in Grumbling Gryphons educational videos for Hartford Performs during the pandemic. Danny attends Naugatuck Valley Community College where he majors in both music and theater. Recently he was a featured baritone soloist in Handel’s oratorio Israel in Egypt in the NVCC Chorale and sang with The Brass City Voices Choir and The Waterbury Symphony Orchestra performing From Fortune’s Bones To a New World. Danny continues to work towards enriching and engaging the next generation with wisdom of the world around them.
