Critical Writing Workshop with Virginia Watkins – Long Form Fiction or Memoir Writing class
Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm UTC+0
Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library
Saturday November 2, 9, 16 and 23
Please read signup instructions below
If you’ve been working on a piece of long form fiction or memoir, this critical workshop is designed exactly for you.
Over the course of four Saturday meetings, our small group of writers will read each other’s work and discuss the ways it succeeds and the ways in which it could be stronger. Feedback is constructive in nature, designed to help writers accomplish the goals they set for themselves. You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of the ways in which an audience responds to your work and what you might do, in order to make it even stronger.
Virginia Watkins, a writer and private writing consultant, has offered both generative and critical workshops at Scoville Library and other locations in the Berkshires. You can contact her through her website at www.writetogether413.com and follow her on Instagram @writetogether413.
Please note: There are a limited number of participants for this workshop. Open to those who have not taken this previously at the Scoville Library and have the ability to take all four sessions. Sign-up is on a first come first served basis beginning Wednesday October 23 at or after 10:30 am, by emailing directly to the Program Coordinator, at scovilleadultprograms@gmail.com.
If you have already taken the workshop you may sign up for the wait list.
