What Do You See? This year's exhibit theme invites you to engage with the photographers' perspectives on their work. We asked HCC members to write brief statements about what they see in their photos – what drew them to the subject, what qualities make the photograph resonate with them.

We encourage you to linger and reflect on the photographer’s vision and your own experience of the photo.

The Housatonic Camera Club (HCC) is a local photography club that has been going strong for nearly 75 years. Founded in 1956, HCC  is comprised of photographers of all levels, mostly from the tri-state area, who meet monthly to share their love of photography as well as their experience, travels, and expertise with one another and the public. In addition to meetings, the Club also offers programs that are open to the general public, including exhibits, slide shows, field trips, and a range of workshops from basic photography to cutting edge technology and techniques.

As part of the New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) and Photographic Society of America (PSA), HCC holds thrice-yearly competitions among its membership. Those chosen to go on to the next level of competition are entered in New England region (NECCC) and international (PSA) inter-club competitions.

HCC was founded by Sharon resident Edward W. Hutchinson, a journalist, teacher, and photographer who exhibited in the 1964/65 New York World’s Fair at the Eastman Kodak Pavillion.
