The poems of Mary Oliver are clear and accessible to the reader. This discussion group will read a dozen of her acclaimed poems and review their themes, their tone, and the poetic devices Ms. Oliver used to write them.
Jim Kelleher teaches at Northwestern CT Community College. He has published 3 books of poetry: Quarry, Mick, and Selected Poems. Jim’s work has appeared in “Yankee”, “The Christian Science Monitor”, “The Country And Abroad” et al. He has an MFA in Poetry and is a licensed CT Educator in Language Arts.
