Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate winter by creating your own menagerie of colorful origami woodland animals!

Open to all ages, this multi-generational workshop is the perfect way to brighten your Wednesday afternoon.

Drop in any time from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and learn to fold creatures of all kinds. Origami expert Matthew Myers will focus on woodland animals, but we're also open to your requests.

All materials -- and refreshments! -- will be provided. No previous experience needed. Whether you’re new to folding or you're already a seasoned paper engineer, we'll have origami options for you!

Matthew L Myers has been folding Origami since his early Elementary school years. His first exposure to folding and paper was provided by Robert Sobieszek, the former Director of the George Eastman House, and his wife Sonia Flavin (the conceptual neon artist Dan Flavin’s first wife). For more than 35 years, Matthew has been experimenting with paper and the near infinite possibilities associated with the medium.

Registration is appreciated -- we want to be sure to have plenty of supplies and snacks for all.
