Have you ever wondered how a blue jay is like a squirrel? Do you know how the robin got its name? Emma Jean Sisk, a 7th grader at Salisbury Central School and avid birder, will share her enthusiasm and love for birds with us and answer these questions and many more. She’ll help us build our nest of knowledge about these fascinating feathered creatures. We’ll learn how to open not only our eyes, but also our ears to discover more about the birds we see in our garden or nearby forest or meadow. Weather permitting, the talk will include a short birding walk along the rail trail, some fun bird trivia, and a bird-inspired snack!
