Shepherd Myers is both an entomologist and multi-disciplinary artist. He runs educational programs on insects as well as art classes focused on illustrating them for youth and adults. You may have encountered Shepherd’s teaching and detailed artistry multiple times in the wider community and Scoville Library over the years - most recently, he was the lead sculptor and designer of the library’s giant Raven Scarecrow for Fall Festival.
