 The Svalbard Archipelago, located just 650 miles from the North Pole, has the northernmost year-round settlement on earth.   Amy Lake toured the islands aboard the National Geographic Explorer as a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow.  Learn about the unique flora, fauna, and human history of this fragile arctic wonderland in this slide presentation by Lake.
