The Now Habit: A Strategic Program for Overcoming Procrastination Book Study Group  facilitated by Dr Kelly Kandra Hughes on Zoom

Alternate Saturdays June 13th –  August 22nd

10:00

Remember when the pandemic started? We decided we were going to use this time wisely. We would declutter our kitchens, organize our closets, and maybe even clean out our garages. Yet, with all this new found time, many of us are still not doing the things we want to get done. Again! Why do we keep procrastinating? And what can we do about it?   Over the course of six meetings, research psychologist Kelly Kandra Hughes offers  a means  to beat procrastination once and for all as she  leads  a summer productivity book club using author Neil Fiore’s  The Now Habit: A Strategic Program for Overcoming Procrastination. Participants will come away with a better understanding of why we procrastinate and how we can work within our own personalities for a stress-free and more productive way to get things done.

Kelly Kandra Hughes received her PhD in psychology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Using her expertise in behavior change, Dr. Hughes works with individuals and groups to help them identify and overcome their stumbling blocks when it comes to minimizing their lives. Her writings and work on minimalism have been featured in newspapers and websites such as Norfolk Now, Lakeville Journal, Republican American, Rural Intelligence, No Sidebar, Dropbox, Tracking Happiness, UpJourney, and The University of Surrey Centre for Environment and Sustainability.
