Last baking sessions!

Come bake with us! Our Saturday afternoon workshops are geared toward children of all ages and offer lots of hands-on fun in the kitchen. Over the next 5 weeks, we’ll bake cookies, brownies, and other easy-to-follow recipes to keep you entertained while learning something new. An ingredient list for each week will be posted prior to the session.

*Children must be safe and feel comfortable using the oven or have an adult nearby to help.

May 23: Lemon Bars

For the crust:

– 1/2 pound unsalted butter, room temp
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 2 cups flour
– 1/8 teaspoon salt
For the filling:
– 6 extra large eggs, room temp
– 3 cups sugar
– 2 tablespoons grated lemon zest (about 5 lemons)
– 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
– 1 cup flour
– Confectioners sugar, for dusting afterwards
