Feeling bored at home? Come bake with us! Our Saturday afternoon workshops are geared toward children of all ages and offer lots of hands-on fun in the kitchen. Over the next 5 weeks, we’ll bake cookies, brownies, and other easy-to-follow recipes to keep you entertained while learning something new. An ingredient list for each week will be posted prior to the session.

*Children must be safe and feel comfortable using the oven or have an adult nearby to help.

April 25: Zucchini banana bread

– 3 eggs
– 2 cups sugar
– 1 cup vegetable oil
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 2 cups grated zucchini (1 medium zucchini)
– 2 cups flour
– 3 teaspoons cinnamon
– 2 teaspoons baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 3 very ripe bananas, mashed
Everyone will also need 2 9×5 loaf pans, because this recipe makes 2 loaves. If they don’t want that much, they can either cut the recipe in half or freeze one loaf- that works really well.
