Program Description

Event Details

Put on your wolf suits, and get ready for mischief (of one kind)! Join us for a read-aloud of Maurice Sendak's beloved book, Where the Wild Things Are! Then we'll stomp and roar to welcome the new year, as special guests, the Berkshire Resilience Brass Band, play their joyful and groovy tunes. Wolf suits and crowns; wild thing horns and claws; and DANCING are encouraged!

About the Berkshire Resilience Brass Band: We are a group of musicians from the Southern Berkshires region who chase the collective groove at the boundary of order and chaos. We give thanks to all our teachers and musical ancestors including the music of the African diasporas, Cuba, New Orleans and the Balkans. We play for Farmers Markets, community events, memorials, holidays and other good causes where we can elevate the vibe.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

At 11:30am, we will meet UPSTAIRS for a reading of the story while the band warms up. Then, we will join them in the children's room for our concert!

Please include in your registration the number of attendees (adults and children) that will be in your party. For example, if you are a member of a party of 3, please register for 3 spots.
