 org. Instruction is free and the library has a limited number of guitars t
 o loan for each 8-week series. Start your classical guitar journey in thi
 s small group lesson series with instructor Matthew Pearson. This series
  is for absolute beginners and is open to adults and to young adults (ages
  16 and up). You’ll learn the fundamentals of the instrument, the strin
 gs, notes, and righthand finger patterns and techniques. Students will be 
 able to progress at their own pace, and we will support each other in deve
 loping our skills. Please be prepared to commit to regular practice. It wi
 ll make a big difference in your progress! Matthew Pearson is an experie
 nced amateur classical guitarist and has taught large group classes at a h
 igh school in Manhattan. He started classical guitar at age nine and still
  treasures his first classical guitar, made by Rokutaro Nakade. He is a re
 tired banker and a Salisbury resident.This series is made possible by the
