We are excited to announce the appointment of Kendra Percy to the position of Children’s Services Coordinator at SML. Kendra is a Lakeville native (and proud graduate of Salisbury Central and Housatonic Valley Regional High School) who recently returned to her hometown after living, studying and working abroad for several years. As a result of her world travels, she is fluent in Italian, French, and German.
Kendra’s goal as Children’s Services Coordinator is to create accessible and diverse programs that spark curiosity and inspire learning through play and experience. She looks forward to serving the children and families of Salisbury in this role.
Before joining SML, Kendra was a K-12 Museum and Classroom Educator at The Museum of the City of New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art for teen programs and the American Museum of Natural History, where she developed an award-winning prototype exhibition for the Children’s Science Room. Kendra holds an MS in Education from Bank Street College of Education in New York City.
Kendra fondly remembers spending hours as a child curled up with a book in front of the SML fireplace and taking part in joyful Easter egg hunts on the lawn. For Kendra, this position is a dream come true. Please stop by and introduce yourselves!
