Program Description

Event Details

Enhance your understanding of color mixing and/or hone your drawing skills with artist and art educator Pieter Lefferts in this four-session series. This workshop provides instruction for all levels, from beginner to expert.

Registration is required and is for the whole series.

  •  Four Tuesdays, April 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2:00 - 4:00 PM (Registration opens March 4th.)

In this workshop, we will focus on recipes for mixing color with watercolors. Participants are asked to bring subject matter, including photos or still life objects, or you may choose to work from your imagination.

We’ll also work on honing drawing skills, so you may choose to focus on that, on color mixing, or on a combination of both.

Pencils, paper, and watercolor materials will be provided. You are also welcome to bring your own drawing materials, watercolors, or gouache.

Pieter Lefferts is a professional artist working in oils, acrylics, and pastels. His specialties include landscape paintings of the Adirondacks, the Hudson Valley, and New England.
