Join us for D&D club . We will meet to plot and discuss the game or participate in a campaign.
This group is geared toward middle schoolers interested in the gaming world of Dungeons & Dragons, whether they are experienced players or new to the game.
This program is made possible by contributions from the Friends of the Scoville Library and from library patrons like you.
Dr. Cera Fisher:
"I am a storyteller, improviser, and a game master. I have been running tabletop RPGs for over ten years for friends, for friends' children, and even at local gaming conventions. I work hard to make my tables an inclusive and welcoming environment, and I take great care with my players' psychological well-being. I really think that one of the most fun and worthwhile things that we can do as little human beans is sit around a table telling each other a story that comes completely out of our heads. Stories help us shape our world. Come tell a story with me!"
Favorite ttrpg systems to run are:
- D&D 5e: I mean, you have to, right? - Critical Core: a D&D 5e offshoot focused on helping neurodivergent players with various interpersonal skills, - ShadowDark: an old-school renaissance d20 game focused on helping dice goblin minmaxers experience repeated character death, - Brindlewood Bay: a game where retired elderly women join a murder mystery book club and -- oops! -- solve a bunch of murders - Scum & Villainy: a Blades in the Dark offshoot that lets you play space cowboys in starships doing heists
Favorite improv games disguised as tabletop roleplaying games are:
- Honey Heist: You are a criminal. You are a bear. You must steal honey - Lasers & Feelings: Star Trek, but do it funny.
